Project spotlight: WHAKATIKA

I worked Te Atawhai o Te Ao, an incredible independent Māori research institute for environment and health (based in Whanganui) on their 2021 report on Māori experiences of racism. My mahi included developing images for use throughout the report and images used to showcase the report’s findings on social media.

The survey was a first in Aotearoa, and gives a snapshot of the experiences of everyday racism experienced by the more than 2000 tangata whenua surveyed.

The mahi was funded through the Health Research Council, and you can read the full report on the Te Atawhai o Te Ao website, by clicking here.
