I’m really proud of the work I get to do, collaborating on important work focused on honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi, calling out and eliminating racism, and working ethically with Māori. Here are some examples!

Te Whakahaumaru Taiao

Te Whakahaumaru Taiao aims to examine exposure to discrimination, harassment and bullying (directly and vicariously) for Māori medical students and doctors and to explore how this impacts on their health and wellbeing, their experiences in medical training and workplaces, and their career outcomes.

I prepared several drawings to support the project’s website, information dissemination, and social media posts.

Kia Tika, Kia Pono - Honouring Truths

Kia Tika, Kia Pono – Honouring Truths is an ethical framework to guide engagement with tamariki (children) and rangatahi (young people) who are care experienced (that is, who currently or at some stage in their lives have been in foster or residential care).

I prepared hand drawn illustrations of the rangatahi who co-produced the resource, which used throughout the publication. I also drew this adorable and beloved pup.

To download the excellent resource, visit the Voyce Whakarongomai website, here.

Foraging for Kai - Annual 3

Annual 3 is a contemporary take on the much-loved annuals of the past – all in one beautiful package. And I was lucky enough to illustrate an article on foraging for kai by Johanna Knox (page 146).

Annual 3 is a great read for 9-13 year olds and is on sale now!
